THURSDAY 1st January
Southwell Mystery 7 miles
Roger led the first walk of the year on a bright yet cold day. He welcomed 5 guests from other groups The route went via Reg Taylors Bird Sanctuary at Normanton before dropping down to the Greet at Maythorne Mill. After a coffee stop Judy suggested we go slightly off route to see the “Koala” reported in a tree on the Southwell trail. Unfortunately, this stuffed bear had been captured! If you want to see it check out the photos. From there the route continued across Norwood Park and then along Robin Hoods Way to Brackenhurst. A lunch stop in the garden before returning to our start point. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Sonya who slipped on the walk and broke her wrist.

SUNDAY 4th January
Coleby 8.5 miles
Thanks to Izzie for repeating her September walk for the benefit of our Sunday Walkers. A good paced walk along the Lincoln Ridge. Mainly good surfaces but uneven at times, plenty of views and interesting houses. Some hillier bits but nothing drastic as they stayed on the ridge.

Around Bingham 5 miles
This interesting walk led by Maggie around the delightful town of Bingham, including sections of the Bingham Linear Park along on old railway line. A good way to start New Year, not too much mud and lots of good company.
