WEDNESDAY 15th April
Walesby Round 6 miles
Judith led a group of 17 of us on a circular route around Walesby. The weather was beautiful although a little windy. The early signs of spring were evident everywhere, with the leaves on the tree starting to show and plenty of bluebells.

Kinoulton Colston Bassett 8.3 miles
Thanks to Tony for leading his second long walk in four days. He Reported;
We walked to Colston Bassett by tracks and field paths. Had a coffee break at the remains of st. Mary’s church on the fringe of Colston Bassett. The remains were the home of ‘hundreds ' of bees- lodging in the holes and cracks of the church walls. Our walk went on to Hickling Basin - had a lunch stop and was graced by a pair of Kites circling around above us. We then followed the Grantham Canal back to Kinoulton. The weather was kind to us, no rain.

SUNDAY 19th April
Bonsall Winster - The long Drag! 8 miles
A visit to the beautiful Peak District today led by Dave. They started in Bonsall, near Matlock for a climb onto Bonsall Moor heading towards Winster, and then a return along part of the Limestone Way. Bonsall is a timeless village of great character, and from there they faced the long drag onto Bonsall Moor which did give views into the heart of the White Peak area.
