Hose Harby and Collingham

WEDNESDAY 24th September

Hose Harby 7.7 miles

Bob led this walk which was previously done in the opposite direction some long time ago. He reported : 22 ramblers set off from Hose Village Hall in cool but pleasant walking conditions towards Mount Pleasant and the Harby hills on a 7and half mile walk A mixture of lane, field, paths and footpath by the side of the Grantham Canal On reaching the high point of the Harby Hills we took a very welcome coffee break which was accompanied by rain Continuing onwards to Harby via fields with some well-groomed horses and plenty of cows Lunch was taken at Harby Church before returning to Hose via the Grantham canal
