WEDNESDAY 3rd September
Farnsfield Kirklington 5.5 miles
A leisurely stroll from Farnsfield led by Roger. The bad weather forecast reduced our number. Those who braved the forecast were rewarded with a dry walk, We crossed through Farnsfield before following the Southwell trail for a short stretch before crossing open fields to Kirklington. Our return went via the od mill and the defunct Railway station before passing through Edingley back to our start. Several of us had our picnic lunch using the tables on the recreation ground.

SUNDAY 7th September
Clarborough North Wheatley 8 miles
Tony led the walk and left the following report:
Clarbough is in the North of Nottinghamshire. The walk was 8 miles long and had NO Stiles. The first 2 miles or so was along the Chesterfield canal- on the Cuckoo Way towpath- the name comes from a particular type of boat that used the canal many years ago, a "Cuckoo boat" The weather was fine, except for about 10 mins drizzle near end of walk. After the flatness of the canal, we went up and over to North Wheatley and back again on a different path back to Clarborough. In all 17 members were on the walk.
