SUNDAY 27th July
The Three S’s Saltby, Stonesby and Sproxton
Tony led the walk and left this report:
13 members set off from Saltby through the rural Leicestershire countryside - first break was near the site of the medieval village of Becasby. Now only an area of mounds of earth. We then walked through several well marked cross field paths to Stonesby and then Sproxton. Lunch stop was on a grassy bank with many wild flowers around. The weather was fine and dry underfoot.

WEDNESDAY 30th July
Farndon 5.9 miles
Steve took a group of us on a circular walk to Elston via Thorpe over the A46. An interesting walk, mainly on quiet roads with a chance to visit an interesting church in Thorpe and a chapel in Elston.
As always great to be walking in the company of such a friendly bunch of people.

Thoroton 7 miles
Maggie set off from the village of Thoroton and reported that it was a good walk with more sun than expected. The walk was basically a figure of eight and included Oscar Bridge, both sides of the River Smite, Shelton, Flawborough and Orston,
