WEDNESDAY 17th December
Collingham Besthorpe Nature Reserve 7.5 miles
Chris and Brigid led a group of eleven of us on a walk from Collingham to Besthorpe nature reserve. Cleverly designed to keep us away from the worst of the mud we visited two part of the reserve with a rather windy section along the Trent. The coffee and lunch stops were both in bird hides on the reserve. The lunch stop was particularly luxurious as the benches were padded. As always so lovely to be out walking in excellent company.

Boxing Day at Balderton 5.5 miles
Carol led a small group of us on a walk round Balderton over to the edges of Newark and back.
A lovely way to spend Boxing day, good company and Christmas treats at the coffee stop.
