Bingham Delights 7 miles

This was a delightful rural walk starting at Tithby railway bridge in Bingham led by Judith. They Initially descended down 40 broad and gentle steps to the disused railway line. This is now owned by Bingham Parish Council, looked after by the wildlife trust and is known as the Bingham Linear Park.  The route follows a good trail which opens out onto a panorama of open fields and big skies. The walk continued along field margins and by the river Smite before meandering back to the railway track. This meant crossing a bridge and descending a fairly steep but short track.

Group Holiday to Alnmouth

Fourteen of us ventured north from Newark to spend a few days in Alnmouth at the HF holidays house, Nether Grange. It was an extremely comfortable stay, with great food and entertainment in the evening. We spent Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday walking in the area. Two days along the coast and one day exploring the hills round Rothbury. The walks were excellent as was the company. Thank you to Ian for organising it.
